I made this custom binder for a good friend who was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I told her it was to keep up with all the bills from Duke. She has done well and is now cancer free and looking forward to getting back on her horse.

It is made from 12 oz Veg tanned saddle skirting leather. So heavy that it is not lined but the back is dyed and finished. It is hand stamped, dyed , highlighted, and finished. It is hand sewn using a
saddle stitch and braided nylon thread. Features 3 layers of 5 oz veg tanned dividers for cards and keeping important info, also hand sewn.

This is the only project that I have ever made that I put myself on a deadline to produce. One day job, from design ,cutting, stamping and carving, dying , force drying and sewing . Started 6.30 am gave it to her 8 pm.

This is not to make money, It,s to show love and support. and yes, you will be crying when you give it to someone special.
